Background & Objective
In March 2023, Eco Research (lead partner), Eurac Research, Ecocenter Spa, Atzwanger Spa, ARA Pustertal Spa, and Obrist Srl submitted the project proposal. PlasticFree—as part of the EFRE-Program 2021-2027 (opens in new Tab) .
Microplastics and nanoplastics are widespread: in rivers, lakes, precipitation, groundwater, drinking water, and organisms (bioaccumulation). The project records and quantifies these particles and tests Prototypes for improved reduction in sewage treatment plants.
